SHIPPING INFO

The normal wait before new orders are shipped is an average of 4-6 weeks. If the wait time is shorter or longer, the customer will receive an email.

Please note The Poison Garden is a sole proprietorship meaning there is only one person performing all tasks.

The Poison Garden is unable to guarantee deliveries in time for special holidays. Please order well in advance if you need an order by a certain date. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

American Customers

Please note this online shop is based in Canada and physical items require international shipping.  We recommend avoiding placing large orders as keeping order totals under $90 USD helps to keep tariff costs down for the seller and customer. Customs fees are already included in the cost of shipping at checkout, so there’s no surprises.

Small packet garden seeds no longer ship the USA due to a recent change in which items can be shipped across the border.

Where do we ship?

We currently ship to Canada, the USA, Mexico, Ireland, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Asia (China, India, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam).

As of autumn 2025 we have reinstated shipping to the United Kingdom but orders should be kept under £135 to avoid customs fees.

All USA orders are shipped by tracked small packet air mail. International orders outside of the US are shipped by air mail with options for tracking or no tracking. If you do not purchase shipping with tracking during checkout you will not receive a tracking number. Please note that parcels shipped with tracking are not insured.

Shipment can take 5-12 business days to Canada and the USA and 6-14 business days to the UK and Europe.

Where can’t we ship?

We are unable to ship seeds outside of Canada.

We currently are unable to ship any products to Central America, South America, Russia, New Zealand, Australia, West Asia, or active war zones at this time. This is mainly due to country restrictions and customs issues with herbal products.  

Shipping Policies

Some orders are subject to additional shipping fees depending on the size and weight of the products ordered. If this is the case, you will be invoiced for the additional fees and your order will not be shipped until it is paid.

If you have provided an incomplete address and do not catch the error before your order is shipped, your order will automatically be returned to us by the post office at your expense (though it could take 1-4 additional weeks). As the error is yours, you will be charged for shipping again and must provide a complete and secure address before we will re-ship your order.

Refunds will not be issued for items lost or damaged by mail couriers as we follow Canada Post’s shipping & packaging standards which ensure your items get there safely. Once a package leaves our hands, its fate is out of our control. Only parcels sent within Canada automatically come with tracking. Canadian customers should hold onto their tracking number in case of issue.

Packages shipped as “small packet airmail international” do not come with insurance or tracking and are not eligible for refund claims via the postal service due to damage or non-delivery. 

International customers are solely responsible for awareness of their country’s import taxes on parcels worth over a specific value that varies country to country.

International customers who did not receive their parcel may need to go to the post office to pay an import tax before their parcel is released to them. Some postal systems do not notify customers of this and it is your responsibility to regularly check your post office for your parcel or it will be marked “unclaimed” and returned to The Poison Garden.
