Mugwort (artemisia vulgaris) is a wild edible and medicinal plant found throughout temperate areas of the northern hemisphere. It an be toxic if ingested in large amounts and the living plant can cause contact dermatitis in some people (mainly those with a ragweed allergy). Planting mugwort in your garden can help to attract insects and wildlife. Harvest the flowering tops for medicine or essential oil production before the flowers turn brown.
Growing Instructions: Sow directly in soil in spring, late summer, or fall. Can be started indoors a few weeks before the last frost. Cold hardy. Plants can be transplanted. Please note mugwort is a very large and tall plant and is not suitable for indoor container gardening.
